Hey beauties!
Sorry for my absence, I thought I really needed a break from the Internet and had to spend time with my family!
But that doesn't mean I didn't shop!
Of course I had to get a couple new things here and there.
I mostly went shopping for work attire. I had so much trouble finding cute things for work that were both affordable and my taste.
And how could I NOT buy makeup??
LOL
Of course I had to get a couple of goodies ;)
In order:
1. Wet 'n Wild nailpolish in Sagreena the Teenage Witch.
- I really needed a cheap green for nail art (petals and leafs). This one works well even though it does have some shimmer. But it's fine because you barely see it in such fine details.
2. American Rag Blazer
- I am so in love with this blazer. First of all it isn't your typical blazer material. It's a very soft cloth material. It's also stretch so it fits me like a glove. There is one button so the look can vary. The only down side is that this is kindaaaa very pricey. I found it on the sale rack because I would NEVER pay the original price for one blazer.
3. Body Butter
- I originally got this for my Mama because my friends all razed about it. Then my mother started razing about it. And I realized I had to try it out my self. It's a very thick butter that works wonders on dry skin. I like to alternate between a regular lotion and this body butter because it does feel like a bit too much for everyday use.
4. Glitter ribbon
- I was at Micheal's when I found this cute little guy and honestly I have no idea why I bought it. That store has the most adorable things ever!!
5. Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake
- I was so happy when I found this shade because it seems to be EVERYONES favorite color. The formula is so soft and I love this color on my lips! Definitely try it if you find it ;)
6. American Rag shirt
- The fabric is gorgeous on this shirt... impeccable quality...and beautiful design. This shirt is one of my favorites ever!!
7. A Million Suns by Beth Revis
- Y'all know that I'm a huge sci-fi fan so I couldn't be more happy that the second book from a series by my favorite author came out. 2 words...can't wait!
8. Almay Pressed Powder
- I have a love hate relationship with this powder. Sometimes it makes my face looks flawless and other times it chalky, drying, and horrible. Makes me wonder... why in the world do I keep buying it over??
9. Guess Flats
- I found these flats for a mere $22. Yes. That's a GREAT deal.
10. ELF eyeshadow primer
- I was a Target (the only store that sells ELF makeup :( and I stumbled upon this little dude. My friends use it and say it does a good job at keeping their shadow on. Let's pray it works on my oily lids. Haha :D
Pictures to follow....

OOTD- Comfortable Hues
Hey girlies!
I have blurry webcam pictures of my outfit for today- yay! LOL
Sorry about the mess in the background in some of them, I just got back from vacation and was unpacking my stuff and all.
By anyways, I wore this today to go out shopping with my girls.
Simple sweater because it is fairly cold outside, some jeans, a little leather bag, and boots. Outfit complete.

January's In's and Out's
Hey girls!
So January just passed and I feel like its the appropriate time to post this. These were the things I have loved and disliked the past month.
IN'S...
Braids
Obviously I am not at that level of expertise in braiding, but I found that last month I have wore braids more. Its quick, easy, and the next day you wake up with gorgeous beachy waves. I would like to try this bun-kinda-looking-hairstyle with the braid on the bottom. Hmmmm... I wonder who would teach me how to do this!
Sketching
I missed drawing, sketching, doodling, fooling around in my drawing pads, etc. Previously in an art program for three years, I am in love with art and anything artistic. So, this month I have dedicated time for my artistic endeavors. LOL
It's not all that fancy-sh-pansy, but I realized that drawing (or being creative in general) helps me relax.
Phone Cases
I have literally found sooo many cute cases for my iPhone through Tumblr or fellow bloggers. I have one right now that is deep purple with pink glitter that I absolutely love! But I mean, who wouldn't want a case with a bunny tail and ears? LOL (:
Lipstick
I have to confess, that I was never a lipstick girl... that was before January. I have suddenly gotten into wearing lipstick, which is so unusual considering I either wear pigmented gloss or plain lip tint/stain. I always thought that lipstick was for older people and you have to be a certain age to pull it off, but my opinions have changed!
It started when my best friend applied a tube of a VERY beautiful pink lipstick after a lunch out together. Of course, it was one of those high-end brands that I was not willing to shell out money for. So instead I went out and bought a shade of pink from Wet 'n Wild for around 4 dollars. Its called Think Pink and I have used about one fourth of the tube up already.
OUT's...
Sugary Treats
I know you are ALL hating me right now for writing this. But I mean, I'm kinda on a confession streak here, so I might as well.
As much as I love candy and will always hold a special place in my heart for it, I refuse to eat it as much as I did before. Summer is coming up and I still have a couple of those holiday pounds to shed in order to get into good shape. So, therefore, my love affair with sugar has to be momentarily paused.
Dark colors/ Heavy Fabric
I am trying so hard to transition from heavy, bulky sweaters to lightweight knits and blouses. It's getting warmer, but we still have some chilly days. Ugh, the weather is so confusing. I'm also trying to incorporate more colors into my outfits if I do happen to wear something thicker.
Thanks all folks! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing weekend.

5 New Things About Myself
Hi Girls!
I know that I have done this post already, but since I have gotten a few new followers and I haven't posted for *cough* a longggg time *cough* I thought this would be fun to do again!
1. I am extremely OCD.
LOL I sound like one of those crazy ladies from one of the shows on TLC. But I really think I am. I need to have everything in order or else I get upset and my whole day is ruined.
2. I drink a lot of tea.
I have an obsession with tea. I think I drink up to 5 cups a day! But tea is mainly good for you; it helps me relax, and I don't drink much water (I know it's horrible!) so it's a pretty good substitution.
Oh, and my favorite "tea drink" is green tea with macha (like little leaves) with 1 teaspoon of honey and some lemon. Mmmmm...
3. My passion is Biology.
I loveeee Biology and can go on and on forever about micro-organisms, sulfides, and systematics, but I won't. Unfortunately, they don't get paid a lot so I am going to go into pre-med major.
I think I love it so much because I grew up among nature and was outside a lot, so naturally my curiosity developed.
4. My hair is naturally wavy and dirty blonde/ ash brown.
5. I'm from New York.
I know some of you may ask why I'm all of the sudden writing about where I'm from if before I said that I wouldn't tell because of safety reasons (long sentence aha). Well, I really don't think (and hope) that any one is going to stalk me. LOL. And I always read about how people want to visit New York or it's their dream, and I feel lucky to be in such an amazing place.
Bye loves!
xoxo, Lera

Merry Christmas and Christmas Eve!
Hello beauties!
Can you believe 2011 is coming to such a fast end? I can't!
I wanted to write you all a quick little note to wish you a beautiful holiday season. I hope that you all had an amazing 2011 and I am going to wish you an even better 2012.
I know I haven't put up my Christmas Wishlist or anything like that, but to be honest I have no idea what I want- as I already have more than what I can ever wish for.
But, you know, in case Santa is reading this... those gorgeous Steve Madden and Urban Outfitters bags are "ahhh". Haha :)
Lots of love and best wishes,
xoxo, Lera <3
Ohh and what kind of post would this be without a little bit of beauty in it?

NOTD- Sally Hansen Plum's The Word
Hi beauties!
A NOTD today, I forgot the last time I did these. LOL
I have been into darker, gloomier colors and this nail polish extenuates my current obsession.
It looks perfect on and very well comes to this seasons hottest trends. The formula is from their Complete Salon Manicure line. I find this line to be a little more "serious". In my opinion, the colors are much more sophisticated and the formula is much better. A little more creamy and opaque, perhaps.
In this picture, I have on two coats of the nails polish. I had it on for three days (no base or top coats) and so far no chipping!

December LOVE...
It's December!
I am sooo excited that the holiday season is finally here!
Cheers!
I haven't been updating a lot, but a lot has happened.
-School is still a hectic mess, but don't worry I'm doing really good.
-I have fallen in love with gel eyeliner (you will see later.)
-Cookies are absolutely delicious right about now!
-It's Friday!
Anyways.... I have a couple Monthly In's And Out's
IN:
Wet 'n Wild Gel Eyeliner....
On days when I don't have swim practice, I don't have very much time to actually put on make-up. Therefore, this is a big lifesaver. It is so much easier than applying a straight line with liquid and takes a couple of seconds.
Aside from that all I wear is powder and some Chapstick...very simple.
Are you getting the hint ;)?
It's RINGS!
I love them. I have purchased two specific rings that I have been sporting quite a lot.
This exact one, but in blue, which is from Forever 21.
And I like this one too, kind of reminds me of YSL's rings.
By the way, you can find the other ring that I bought by following me on Instagram #simplylera.
Tribal Print...
I have acquired about 10 things since last month with a tribal print. It's so strange considering I'm more attractive to florals, lacey thingies, and everything girly.
And I can't wait to do these nails.
This is a LONGG post, but I haven't done one in a while.
OUT's
Flats...
It's all about the boots, baby!
Combat, military, pirate, biker. YOU NAME IT!
Plain nails...
Think more like, prints such as snowflakes and cute winter designs for the holiday season. If you're not a pro or can't do the design well- try these... they are amazing!
And finally...
Silver accessories...
I have been only wearing gold (not real, of course) accessories. I don't know exactly why, but silver looks really ugly to me right now. I hope I snap out of it soon because I have TONS of silver jewelry. LOL
Have a good holiday season!
